Elf Star Foam Edge Protector

I was very eager to try this foam edge protector by Elf Star. I have a very active toddler in my home and his safety is my number one priority.

There is one particular shelf that concerns me the most. It is a shorter book shelf that I sit my television on. When my oldest boy was younger he was running around the living room with a blanket on his head. He couldn't tell where he was going and his head hit the corner of that shelf. I figured since he had that thick blanket it probably didn't hurt but once I uncovered him, blood was just squirting out of his head.

It scared me half to death and ever since that corner always worried me. Now that my youngest son is just about the right height to come in direct contact with that edge, I was happy to have the opportunity to try this foam edge protector.

I really like this product because it is customizable. You can use it on edges or corners and cut it to the length you need. It comes with industrial strength 3M double side tape. This tape is pretty sticky so you shouldn't have any problem in that area. However, I will warn you. When I went to take the foam off, it took some paint along with it. So keep that in mind.

You can see where some of the paint came off
I'm pretty satisfied with this product. It makes my home feel more safe for my little one. I don't have to worry about that sharp edge. If only I had it a few years ago my oldest boy could have avoided that scary and painful incident.

If you are interested in learning more about this product or purchasing some for yourself you can find it on Amazon. It currently sells for $8.49 and that's for a 6.5ft roll like you see in the picture above. It also comes in several other colors such as grey, brown, black, off white, green and pink.

NOUVEAU/ORGANICA Ultra Hydrating Facial Moisturizer

This is a 100% organic and vegan facial moisturizer that I got to try recently.

I have to say that it is definitely different than other moisturizers I've tried. When I got it in the mail and opened it, it was liquid. It states on the jar that because of it's organic nature softening can occur. If that happens then you just place it in the refrigerator for about an hour and it will harden back up.

That is what I did. However, once you place
the product against the warmth of your skin it instantly melts.

I didn't care too much for this product in all honesty at least as a facial moisturizer. I just didn't like how greasy and oily it was. Definitely not something I would want to put on my face. But as far as applying it on other parts of my body like my elbows, they tend to get dry so this moisturizer is great for that. You can even apply it to your heels when they are dry and cracked. I like this product for those purposes better. I feel like this product is more for extremely dry skin.

Since this product is all natural and is gluten-free, soy-free and dairy-free it can be used on those who have sensitive skin.

If you would like to learn more about this product or purchase it for yourself you can find it on Amazon. It currently sells for $24.95.

CSCS Advanced Face Serum

I love my face serums. I have so many different ones from hyaluronic acid to Vitamin C. I love applying them to my skin. I feel that each one has it's own unique benefit.

This one in particular by CSCS contains 20% Vitamin C + E and Ferulic Acid. These ingredients help combat the signs of aging and also help with sun damaged skin.

My most major concern is aging. I have begun to notice a few fine lines here and there so I really want to tackle those first and foremost.

I really like serums like this because it helps moisturize the skin which is a huge when dealing with fine lines and wrinkles. When your skin is hydrated, it appears plump and fills in those fine lines. I notice when I first wake up in the morning is when I really notice my fine lines but once I apply this serum my skin plumps back up and you can't even hardly see the lines anymore.

This serum is a great thing to use at night or in the morning. You can use it underneath your moisturizer. It is very light and has no smell to it. It's gentle and feel so nice on the skin. It absorbs very quickly too. The serum is very thin and watery in consistency, but you can really tell the difference in the look and feel of your skin after applying it. My skin felt so soft and smooth.

I highly recommend this product. It works great for my skin. However, I cannot guarantee you will love it as much as I do. But if you are interested and would like to try it for yourself you can find it on Amazon. It currently sells for $19.99.

WhiteDerm Resurface Enzyme Fading Mask

I love face masks! I used to do them a lot more when I was a teenager. It seemed to be the "thing" at that time especially the ones that peel. As I got older, I stopped doing them so much.

I decided to give this one a try. It's an enzyme fading mask by Mediderm. You can peel it or wash it off. I like to peel it because I feel like it helps pull all that gunk out of your pores as well as lift away any dead skin that you have.

Product Details:
  • Removes blackheads and whiteheads naturally
  • Unclogs, minimizes and reduces pores for a more even skin tone
  • Peel away pigmentation problems, like dark spots, melasma, freckles and blemishes
  • Safe for all skin types
  • Paraben-free
I am very impressed with this facial mask. The overall experience was really nice. What I did was steam my face for about 10 minutes. This helps open up the pores. I figured it would help pull my blackheads out a lot better. After steaming my face, I dried it and then applied the mask. It is clear and very very thick! It feels like your putting honey or glue on your face. I put just a nice thin layer over my problems areas mostly which are my forehead, nose and chin. Avoid getting it near your eyes and of course your hair. It took probably 15-20 minutes to completely dry and then I started peeling from my forehead down.

The peeling process is the best part. I feel like I'm peeling my old skin to reveal new fresh skin underneath. (I'm weird lol) It definietly helped my skin look more fresh and less dull. It also made it really smooth! It did help some with the blackheads but not as much as I had hoped. Blackheads are so stubborn! But still yet, I'm really pleased with the results I got. I will definitely be using this again.
